WHAT IS A BEADING BOARD ?

A beading board is useful for jewelry making. Although it is not 100% necessary to use a beading board, it really save you time & effort when you plan your designs before you start stringing / wiring the beads.

Beading board comes in a few different sizes & designs. But all of them will at least have 1 long groove to display your beads. Each of the beading board has a few compartments to store your beads & findings as you work on your projects. Hence beading board does help you organize better. In the above diagram, the beading board has 3 grooves to make 3 strands. You could also use the bigger space in the center to design your handphone straps / bag straps / earrings.

The markings on the beading board helps you to determine the desired length of your finished project. If your design has a central point of interest, place the bead at “0″.

With a beading board, you are able to add or take away any beads until you are fully satisfied with your jewelry design before you start to work on your project.
