Lampwork beads are handmade individually, melting narrow rods of glass with the flame of torch. The molten glass is wound around a mandrel which becomes a hole through the bead when the bed is slipped away.

Lampwork beads release a chalk-like substance, making it chalky / cloudy on the surface. Cleaning lampwork beads is easy.  Use a wet cloth to clean the beads and dry well before usage. To give lampwork beads a more lasting shine, use a little all-purpose oil on a cloth to clean the beads.
